This year we started a new vacation tradition with my family. For our first vacation we went to Vegas! It was SO SO SO SO SO SO fun!
We started off the trip with a pit stop at Swigs on our way there. Swigs is this little place in St. George that has yummy flavored soft drinks and DELICIOUS baked goods. We have been talking Swigs up so much that when we pulled up to the little shack Kevin and Christina were a tiny bit skeptical. But as soon as we got our drinks and cookies they too were hooked.
My parents rented a HUGE house for us to stay at in Vegas. In the back yard there was a pool. That is pretty much where we spent all of our time. It was over a 100 degrees the whole time we were there so if we weren't in the pool it was pretty close to unbearable. One of the days we had a tournament with the floaties. You could say it was a little competitive. For the first race you could only use your hands. And the second race you had to connect yourself to your spouse and try and get there and back first. Don't mind the flattering pictures....It was a blast!
We decided to venture to the strip one of the days we were there. We started with lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.
Christian and I were sitting by our niece Sophie. Every time the gorillas turned on she would get super scared. This picture sums up her lunch. haha
After the Rainforest Cafe we made a quick stop at the M&M factory. And then back to the pool we went!
The boys went to the Hoover Dam one the days.
The rest of the trip was extremely relaxing. We ate LOTS of good food! Played games, watched modern family, and just hung out. It was perfection!
While we were there it was both of our parents birthdays. For some reason I only have a picture of my mom blowing out a candle.... but happy birthday mom and dad! Thanks so much for such a wonderful trip! We can't wait till next year!!
