Playing With Photography

When I married Christian I inherited a DSLR camera. I have noooooo idea how to use it.  But I am slowly learning.  My sister Katie and I are taking a class to try and learn how to use our cameras.  I love taking pictures and playing with them on Photoshop and lightroom.  Here is some of the fun I have had lately.

2012

Well... Since I missed the blogging boat for over half of 2012... Here is my last half of 2012!

In August Kevin and Christina tied the knot! It was a perfect day! I am so happy for them :)

After the wedding my parents, Christian and I went to music and the spoken word.  It was beautiful as always.  I love to hear the tabernacle choir sing.

The following week we headed to Bear Lake to stay at my grandparents cabin.  Bear Lake is defiantly one my favorite places to visit. I wish we could go more! We also had a second visit the end of August with Christians family!  It is always a blast!

In September we finally got around to putting decorations in our bedroom! I spent hours making these coffee filter letters but I love the way they turned out!

August, September, and October came with tons of presidential debates, republican convention parties, and fox news.  I was way to up on current events for my personal taste. haha Just kidding.  It was fun to get into the election.. but November came and all of our hearts may have been ripped out.  But I'm still proud to be an American!

In September we were able to go to the temple open house in Brigham city! It was so pretty!  I am excited to go back and go through a session with Christian.  I loved it.

At the end of September we welcomed our brand new niece.  Katie and Steve had Evelyn Dawn.  She is PERFECT! I am a little obsessed with her and she makes me oh so baby hungry!

Evy came in perfect timing for my parents to come up for general conference. The boys all went to the priesthood session on Friday night together.  It was fun to all be together!

In October one of my good friends Chelsea got married to her new hubby Sam.  They had a beautiful wedding and I was so happy that we got to be there for them on their wedding day.  Christian and I took the weekend to stay in Salt Lake because their reception was on Friday and their sealing on Saturday.  We went to city creek and the cheesecake factory! It was fun to get away and spend time with my cute hubby!

We tried to find a pumpkin patch in Logan this year... but we failed! We did end up at a little corn maze/hay play ground and were able to get some pumpkins there.  The last picture really cracks me up. haha

The best movie in the world came out in October. Pitch Perfect.  I would be lying if I said I watched this movie less than 6 times since then.  Okay I have watched it 7.  Don't judge.  It is hilarious!

In November we celebrated Christians birthday.  He is 24.  He is an old man!! Just kidding.  We went to fire house pizza with both of our families and then came back to our apartment for cookies and ice cream! It was a great day!  LOVE YOU CHRISTIAN!

For Christians birthday his parents gave us tickets to go see Bryan Regan.  He was hilarious! We went and ate at Center Street Grill before and then headed to the Eccles theater for tons of laughs!

December came and with December came 80 hour work weeks for both Christian and I.  It is a crazy month.  So when the 20th came... we were happy to take a 10 day vacation to Washington to visit my family for Christmas.  But during December we were able to go see temple square's lights and have a Christmas party with Christians family! Even though we worked a TON it was really fun to be able to spend so much time with family.

We had a perfect Christmas! On Christmas Eve Santa came to visit us.  The kids loved it.  My favorite part of Christmas Eve was our Christmas "program".  We each took a different person from Christs birth and talked about how we relate to that person.  It was for sure one of my favorite things we have ever done for Christmas.  Of course we continued our long tradition of matching pajamas.  This year we had Aggie jammies.  I think my favorite that we have ever had!

For Christmas my parents gave us all blazer tickets.  It was a blast!!

For new years Christian and I both had to work so flew home on the 29th.  We got done with work around 11:15 and we headed home, put our pjs on, and watched some friends.  It was a great way to bring in our new years!

2012 was also filled with many date nights, Charly runs, and of course Netflix. I love my laid back nights with Christian.

I am so thankful for the wonderful year that we had and all the blessings it brought to us.  We have the most incredible friends and family and I feel so lucky.  2012 was a great year and I can not wait to see what 2013 brings to us!
