Washington Trip

We got to go spend the week of the fourth up in Washington to prepare for Kevin and Christians big engagement party! We had so much fun spending time with my family.  I drove up with my sisters on Sunday and Christian flew in on the morning of the 4th.  We fit in lots of family fun in our week together!

Baby Jackson and I before churchy on Sunday.  He is so cute!

The cute kids in their 4th of July outfits!

We went up to the coast on the 4th.  We ended up at Hugs point. I did almost drowned here 6 years previous so I defiantly avoided the freezing cold water.  But, it was a really nice day for the Oregon coast!

Every year a family in my home ward puts on a HUGE firework show.  It is seriously the best show that I have ever seen AND its in someones front yard.  You have to stay on your toes because you never know when one is going to fly in to the crowd... but it adds to the thrill.  I love it!  I was so happy that Christian got to see the crazyness of Washington on the 4th.  It is seriously like a war zone up their... so many huge fireworks!!

Somehow Karleigh slept through the whole show.. I'm still amazed that she did it.

Christian tried so hard to keep his eyes open in this picture.. but the flash was just too bright. haha

Christian practicing his dad skills at the park ;)

We played a few rounds of H-O-R-S-E.  Christian and I are not very good at basketball. I'm pretty sure we were the first ones out everytime.  But its cool! haha

After the park we came home and watched the muppet movie in our backyard.  It was really fun!

We had so much fun up there!  We love when we get to go and see my parents and wish we could go much more often! I'm so grateful to have the family that we do.  We have so much fun together! Thanks mom and dad for a great week!

Kevin and Christina!

My big brother is ENGAGED!  I know I am a little late on the blog post... but hey better late than never! I am so happy for them!  They are such a pretty couple and are going to make some beautiful babies ;) They are getting married on August 4th! Now that they are engaged.... I get to post a couple pictures that I took of them when I was practicing for Brittany and Marks wedding.

We had a "casual barbeque" in their honor this last weekend in Washington.  I put "casual barbeque" in quotations to give my mom a hard time.  It was a beautiful reception!

This is a sign we made.  It has a little timeline of how Kevin asked Christina to marry him.  He sent her on a scavenger hunt so it shows each clue and then the finish line!

 The men behind the grill!

Christian and I at the bbq :)

The cute centerpieces.  We died on the jars blue and put cute pictures in them! I think they are adorable!
The sign in table.  A little girl left a note in their advice basket telling them to use more oranges instead of just blue, to have their reception outside, and to make sure it wasn't too hot or too cold.  I think she was a little confused on what kind of advice they were looking for, but it was cute!

My parents rented a cotton candy machine.  I would be lying if I said I ate less than 7.

The food was set up here... the picture is missing the food but it was yummy!

The whole setup! Defiantly just a "casual bbq"

We had yummy old fashion cream soads, root beer, and orange sodas. Yummmm

The guests of honor!

I am so happy for you guys! I can't wait for you guys to get married! And to be our neighbors! :)

Phone dump

We went to summer fest with my sisters family in June! Cute Sophie girl and I on our way there! We love living next to family.  My other sister and her family are moving up to Logan this weekend... WE CAN'T WAIT!

Chelsea and I in our swimming goggles.  We have decided to pick up swimming.  I really like it! I am terrible at it.  But it is really fun!
Somehow I manage to get the best pictures of Chelsea when I don't mean to.  I don't know if anyone remembers the following picture... but I still pee a little every time I look at it.
look to the left side of the picture.

Our new favorite thing!  Grilled cheese with guacamole and bacon. yumm yumm yummm!

I got together with a couple of my old roommates in June! I love when I get to see them.  It reminds me of our crazy lives in the LLC.  And of course... what roommate reunion wouldn't be complete without ice cream?

Cruise!

In may Christian and I boarded the Carnival Splendor and cruised along the Pacific Ocean to the beautiful Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta.  We decided to take the cruise for our one year anniversary trip.  It was so so fun and so so relaxing!  We had 7 days away from real life and not one person could even get ahold of us because we didn't even have cell service.  It was great!! We don't have a little camera... so all of the pictures were taken with my phone... some are not the best!

We flew in to the Long Beach Airport... which is like the cutest, old school, adorable air port.  The entire terminal was like a triple wide trailer and they had an outdoor baggage claim. On our way back the same person that checked us in to our flight, got us through security, and took our tickets in the terminal. It was awesome!
This is the atrium of the ship!  The whole ship was way cool.  There was a lot of pink though... that was a little weird. haha

The restaurant that we ate in each night had mostly good food!  Some nights it was a little too exotic for us.  One night everything on the menu sounded frightening so I decided to order a hamburger.  I got scolded by our waiter.  The hamburger was gross... and sense I got in trouble for eating it... we had to sneak out when our waiter wasn't looking so we could go eat food at the buffet.  It was pretty funny!

The view from our ship of Puerto Vallarta.  That was our favorite stop!
Relaxing on the beach in Cabo! We also went to a flea market in cabo.  It was cool to see all the little trinkets that everyone was trying to sell you.  As we walked down the pier in Cabo there were vendors and vendors lined up trying to get us to buy things.  The said the funniest things! For example, "Give me your money, I will rip you off with a better deal!" Or they would look at me and say "this free for you... your husband buy!" It was funny.  Once we got away from all the vendors and we were able to just relax on the beach we really liked it!

We went to lots of shows every night on the ship! This one was taken at the comedy club.  Christian insisted that we pretend to laugh... because we were at a comedy club.  I love him!

We also went zip lining in Puerto Vallarta.  That was probably my favorite part... of course I didn't get to take pictures because I had no camera... but it was so fun!  We went over deep canyons and through the forest.  It was gorgeous!

I got a little sea sick on our last 2 days so we spend a lot of it in our cabin watching movies.  It was such a fun trip.  I have the best hubby ever and I can't wait for the many more adventures that we go on together!
