Feb. 13th

We had the best Valentines this year.  Well, we had the best day before Valentines this year.   We both had to work all day and night on Vday so we celebrated on the 13th.  Christian planned our date.  He told me to be ready at 5:30 and refused to tell me where we were going.  At the last minute he told me we were gonna go see a movie.  So we got in the car and drove away.  He asked if I wanted to get treats before the movie and I love treats.. so I said yes. He pulled into McDs and ordered me a large diet coke and him a large Rootbeer.  I was so confused.  We couldn't take those to a movie! After our little pit stop at McDonalds we came back home.  There was a sign on the door that said Welcome to Johnson Cinema!

We popped some popcorn and drank some drank and watched Date Night.  Then we went to Mo Bettah Stakes to get some takeout for dinner.(soooooooo good!)  We brought it home and Christian told me to wait in the family room while he got some things ready.  When I came into the kitchen he had some Pandora playing and the room looked like this!

Its kind of hard to see because both of our cameras were dead... but he cut out some red felt fabric and put up one of our wedding center pieces and lit the table with red candles.  It was the cutest!  We ate dinner and we danced. We finished off our date night with cuddles and the movie Taken. It was the best! I love Valentines day! I love my hubby.  He is the cutest!

Ears, Wreaths, HIMYM, and Superbowl Sunday

Recently Christian and I got called to serve as the CTR 5 teachers in our ward.  We have been loving teaching and learning from all of the cute little kids in our class.  I just have to share this story because it is just too funny not share.  For those of you who have never noticed... Christian has some pretty small ears.  They are most likely like half the size of mine.  Well... it was our first day of primary and we walked into our class and the first thing one of the little girls says to Christian is... "You have seriously small ears"! Kids are so honest.  I laughed so hard.  I provided you with a picture below so you can see that yes, he does have seriously small ears.

My sister Katie and I made a valentines wreath a couple of weeks ago.  Besides how time consuming it was to make... it turned out so so cute! I love crafting.

Christian and I watched all six season of How I Met your Mother on Netflix.  Seriously, such a funny show! I rank it up there with Friends... which is pretty hard to beat.  I love it! I can not wait for season 7 to come to Netflix. I guess I will just have to re watch old episodes for now! We need a new show!! Any suggestions?

Our Superbowl Sunday was awesome! I honestly couldn't even tell you what the score of the game was but, I had a ton of fun!  We went over to Katie and Steve's house with Steve's nephew Andy and his wife Mercedes.  We ate so so much yummy food.  Been dip, pizza puffs, little smokies, home made salsa, and banana cake.  Yummmmm. During the game we sneaked in a couple rounds of the bean game and after we played a round of hand and foot! It was perfect!

New Years Vacation

So I know it is February 4th.  But who cares. I'm bloggin about New Years!  We had the best new years this year. We got to take an entire week off and go hang out with my family in St. George.  Sunshine and 60 degrees in December? Don't mind if I do. Thank you beautiful weather.

Besides the incredible weather.. we had a ton of fun!  We started off the week with our Christmas party.  We always have a Christmas party even if we aren't together on Christmas.  We exchanged gifts, played games and ate pizza.

Christian, Kevin and I gave the kiddos Candyland.
One of my favorite traditions is the one below.  Each year we make my parents a scrapbook of the year.  We started out making it by hand but have moved on to making digital books.  It is such a fun tradition and its always one of my favorite moments of the Christmas party to watch my parents look at it and remember all the good times we had together that year.  We counted... and we got to see each other at least once a month in 2011.  I hope that kind of luck stays with us in 2012.  So far we are golden!

We got to play tons of fun games.  While most of our time together was spent play Bohnanza otherwise known as the "bean game".  We took some time playing some games that my mom and Shera planned for us.
In this game we rolled a dice... every time you rolled doubles you got to pick a prize.
You had to wear mittens and try and get through the layers of duck tape and wrapping paper before someone else got doubles! It was intense.

My most favorite tradition of all is our matching PJ's.  There something about 9 grown adults dressed as twins that I just love :) But seriously.  We are the cutest things ever.

Best family, so much love.

I endorse Karleigh's thumbs up.  I think all it is hilarious when kids throw a thumbs up. But seriously, they are so cute.

My grandparents have a sleigh in their front yard, who wouldn't pretend like Santa in this?

We got to be in St. George for this cute little man's baby blessing.  We love him so much!

During the rest of the week we spent a lot of time just hanging out!  We ate a lot of food, did a ton of shopping and we just got to enjoy time together.

For our actual New Years we had a joint party with my brother-in-law Brad's family and our family! We ate hawaiian haystacks and played bunco and pictionary.  We all struggled to make it to midnight. . But don't worry we did it!

BUNCO!

Our $5 dollar Bunco prizes!
We made it till midnight!! Happy New year!
This year I got to bring in the New Year with a kiss from my love. It was perfect!  2011 was defiantly one for the books. I got married. Yupp I'm writing that down in my book.  But it really was such a great year! Happy New Years everybody!
