Now that I have finally blogged about the wedding.. I guess I better blog about our wonderful open house too!! A couple of weeks after the wedding we went up to Washington for an Open House. (If you would like to read about our reception then read this post Our Wedding Day!) Once again my parents outdid themselves. They put so much work into our backyard. They color coordinated all of the flowers to match the wedding colors. There wasn't even a leaf on the ground.
The open house was much more casual then the the wedding dinner. It was a beautiful day!!! We set up 8ish tables in the backyard and used all the same decorations for the wedding. We had a yummy cupcakes that were so freaking adorable and a delicious ice cream bar. I'm a sucker for ice cream. I still dream about that peanut butter chocolate ice cream with all the yummy toppings on it. It was SO good! We also had water and "good water". That was the name of the recipe my mom used. When my nephew Grayden tried it said, "that's the goodest water I have had" It really was good!!!
This is a portion of the backyard. Cute right?
This was the cupcake table. On the morning of the open house a few of my mom's close friends, my aunts, my sisters, Grandma and I frosted these cupcakes. The table was packed.. so we had to take a picture. Makes your mouth water a little bit, huh?
This is where all the goods were at! It also looks cute! My Grandpa and brother in-laws served the ice cream all night.
Water and the "good water"
Now.. how could your heart not melt?? They are SO cute! What makes it even cuter is when I was taking the picture they were all yelling "CHHEEEESSSEEEE!" Even Sophie. Cutest kids ever!
This is where everyone entered. Once again the larger than life poster comes out to play.. but it does look pretty good :)
so beautiful.
The paper lanterns also looked really good! Christian and Brad hung them up. Through out the day they were falling down. I told them if it was a test... they got an F. But luckily not one fell down during the open house. So I retract my previous grade.. I give them an A! Good job :)
Cutest, best hubby in the world :)
